CH.16 Teen Pregnancy
Teen pregnancies in the United States has declined; which is a thumbs up. The problenm is that the United States still have higher rates of teen pregnancies than other countries. I think that sex education has increased in our schools as well as in our communities and it’s a big reason why teen pregnancies has declined. The use of condoms has increased in the world of teen sex. The increasing usage of condoms is showing that sex education is being taking more seriously to adolescents. There are high rates of oal sex; that is not considered sex in the teenage community. Oral sex is the same as sexual orientation, because sexual transmitted diseases can be transmitted through oral contact. STD’s are also another concern of teens having unprotected sex. As a teen they feel like they are invincible and that things like HIV and other serious life changing episodes in life can’t happen to them. This of course is untrue by all means. It is the jobs of parents and teachers to mentor the youger generation about sex education, because sex is a huge thing issue within a teens life. Most of the time the decision a teen makes to have sex is last minute, due to peer pressure from another peer. The decision most likely has not been thought through by no means and is made in asplit decision.  2007-08-08
